Why is pride dangerous?
Pride is like poking a big black bear that's asleep, and every-time you poke and get away with it you feel more prideful and powerful... but eventually the big black bear is going to awaken, and attack, and you won't feel so proud then. Don't poke the big black bear. You're not invisible. Pride makes you feel invisible, but it is an illusion, you are not. People may fall under the impression that they have gotten away with crimes repeatedly, but the truth is you're getting closer and closer to awakening the big black bear that WILL attack.
The saints of various abrahamic religions throughout history all had humbleness in common. They were all humble, and fasted, and kept the Ancient Of Days in their hearts and minds always. They heard his voice, they understood his image, they served him and appreciated him.
