The idea is to slowly introduce your target that you want to brainwash to an idea or scenario so that once it becomes a reality they don't freak out or react in panic but instead, go along with it calmly without resistance.
Be a shepherd for the Most High God, a sort of sub-shepherd for Jesus you see? Bring back the sheep which have been manipulated away from the main herd by various snares of the trapper, and herd them back towards the way of life, of the true light, and of the Ancient Of Days, our heavenly father, Elohim, the Most High God of the bible. The only other option is to be a sheep, that is herded by wicked shepherds.
