Angels don't look the way they are portrayed in movies. In Ezekiel are some pretty fascinating descriptions of angelic beings, and different forms. I'll get into that more down the page. The word Angel means "ministering spirits". Wikipedia.org has a great page on Angels among many other topics, and is a great resource, which uses citations, very often of academic origins, most of the time. Google scholar is also a great place to find academic information, and that is at scholar.google.com

According to Wordnik.com,

which duckduckgo.com uses as a default dictionary:

  1. A typically benevolent celestial being that acts as an intermediary between heaven and earth, especially in Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and Zoroastrianism.
  2. A representation of such a being, especially in Christianity, conventionally in the image of a human figure with a halo and wings.
  3. The last of the nine orders of angels in medieval angelology. From the highest to the lowest in rank, the orders are: seraphim, cherubim, thrones, dominations or dominions, virtues, powers, principalities, archangels, and angels.

So Angels are ministering spirits, and they minister for God.

So, they have various duties and serve the Lord.

Revelation 8:5

And the angel took the censer,

and filled it with fire of the altar,

and cast it into the earth:

and there were voices,

and thunderings,

and lightnings,

and an earthquake.

Revelation 10

John Eats "The Book"

1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,

3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.

5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,

6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.

9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

It's important to discern between spirits. Angels are defined as ministering spirits, so we can think of demons as fallen angels, or ministering spirits of the enemy, ministers of Lucifer. They can appear as an angel of light, so you must have discernment, which is talked about in 1 Corinthians 12, in the spiritual gifts section. The ministers of the enemy tell you everything that you want to hear, and exploit your imagination and your desires.

Types Of Angels:

Ophanim

The Ophanim are the fascinating wheel like creatures that have eyes all around. A great example of the Ophanim ( if I'm right ), is the

Flammarion engraving , which has the wheel like objects in a depiction of what I believe is a psychedelic experience. I also don't believe that the experience invalidates what the user saw and its interpretation and meaning.

Here's where it gets really interesting. The second commandment uses the word "graven" which totally applies to this. Not only are the images in the likeness of that which is in the heavens above, but this time they're actually carved. I didn't know that the original was carved.

According to Wikipedia:
"The Flammarion engraving is a wood engraving by an unknown artist, so named because its first documented appearance is in Camille Flammarion's 1888 book L'atmosphère : météorologie populaire ("The Atmosphere: Popular Meteorology").[1] The wood engraving has often, but erroneously, been referred to as a woodcut. It has been used as a metaphorical illustration of either the scientific or the mystical quests for knowledge."

The stars are in the likeness of that which is in the heavens above, the moon, the son, all of it. The author may or may not have realized their violation of the second commandment, or perhaps I am extreme with my interpretation ( however, if you take the second commandment literally, then I am right. ). At any rate, I do believe this was a vision that someone had after consuming the hidden fruit, one of many kinds. It could have been psilocybin, or something else. Some type of fruit that God created induced a vision, and this art is depicting that. The reason I brought this up is because I believe that the wheels in the art are the Ophanim. Some say, well the ones in this photo don't have eyes.. To that I say, well he was doing the best he could to recall what he saw, and we don't know if the person with the vision did the painting, or if someone else did. Perhaps the eyes were overlooked while trying to recall everything as best possible. Not all details are always brought back with the person, but this painting is evidence of such wheel beings in the sky. Perhaps their eyes were closed or it was just hard for the guy to see.

Archangels

Archangels are messengers. Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael are the one's you hear about. I am unsure if there are more. I will find out how many are in the Talmud as well. Gabriel was the one who God sent to Nazareth with a message for Mary, who was promised in marriage to Joseph. He told Mary that she would birth a son, a savior.

Cherubim

Cherubim means "pray" or "bless". Oddly enough, Lucifer was a Cherubim. They are said to be the closest to God. This just goes to show, someone you think is at your right hand, your #1 supporter, could secretly or openly turn on you one day or try to stab you in the back, or take you down.

Seraphim

Have 6 wings.

"The Angel Of The Lord"

I'm wondering if this is in reference to the angel of the spirit of God himself, perhaps another name for the holy spirit? or further it most likely represents a full on apparition of the Most High God himself, in spirit but visible to the third eye.

I will be updating this page and all the others herein as time progresses on.

Welcome to the Grey Web, aka the "People's Web"

Spirits speak without speaking

and you hear them without listening.

Angels in the bible have been depicted as capable of entering peoples dreams and communicating with them.

Example:

Matthew 1:20-23 "While he was trying to figure a way out, he had a dream. God's angel spoke in the dream: "Joseph, son of David, don't hesitate to get married. Mary's pregnancy is Spirit-conceived. God's Holy Spirit has made her pregnant. She will bring a son to birth, and when she does, you, Joseph, will name him Jesus-"God saves" - because he will save his people from their sins."

Think about this for a second. If God's angels can communicate with you, then so can fallen angels. This explains "divination". Fortune tellers are getting their information from fallen angels. There are divination methods that include receiving information through dreams as well. So we can see that the dream realm is directly connected to the spirit realm. The phenomenon of dreams is correlated with naturally occurring DMT in the human brain. DMT is correlated with plants used by shamans for divination, and even saints in the bible for various reasons like the construction of the ark and the burning of incense ( Acacia plant ). Common biblical sense would indicate that it is a God-made technology intended for prophecy, dreams, visions, etc, and not divination. Ecclesiastes 3:1 " To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divination

Divination is: " an attempt to gain insight into a question or situation by way of an occultic, standardized process or ritual."

Prophecy comes from God by his will only, and Divination comes from the enemy and familiar spirits through occult means. ( not the will of God )

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prophecy

In religion, a prophecy is a message that has been communicated to a person (typically called a prophet) by a supernatural entity. Prophecies are a feature of many cultures and belief systems and usually contain divine will or law, or preternatural knowledge, for example of future events. They can be revealed to the prophet in various ways depending on the religion and the story, such as visions, divination, or direct interaction with divine beings in physical form. Stories of prophetic deeds sometimes receive considerable attention and some have been known to survive for centuries through oral tradition or as religious texts.

God is a spirit; St John 4:24 God is a spirit and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

God is the MOST HIGH spirit.

Shamans and fallen religions worship and serve spirits, but not the Ancient Of Days. These are false God's, and they are spirits. Spirits are ministers, they teach, and they speak without speaking. Because there are fallen angels this is why God tells us not to communicate with them. He can send an angel to speak with you but that is by his will, and generally people are unaware that they are actually interacting with spirits or being influenced by them.
